Cliffdale’s Outstanding Celebration

Friday 28th April 2017

We were judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in November 2016 and today we had a special celebration for all of the outstanding children at Cliffdale!

We had a brilliant day of colourful fun!  All of the children and staff dressed up in the five colours from the school logo; purple, pink, red, green and yellow.

We marched around the front of the school singing our ‘Cliffdale Primary is a cool place’ song, carrying loads of balloons.  When we got round to the front of the school we had a whole school photo with all of the balloons and letters to spell the word ‘OUTSTANDING’!  It was great fun trying to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time and stop the wind from blowing the balloons all over the place!

We then went back to our classes to make hats and flags as well as sandwiches for lunch!  We also decorated our own sponge cakes.  Then we all went into the hall for our party food lunch!  The hall was decorated with balloons and bunting and everyone wore their hats and waved their flags!  As well as the sandwiches, we had pizza, sausages, crisps, popcorn, tomatoes, carrots and cucumber followed up by flapjack and cakes!  There was even lemonade and flavoured water to drink!  Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed their party food lunch!

After a quick playtime, it was back to the hall to watch Silly Scott the Magician!  He was great fun and made everyone laugh lots with his clever tricks.  Silly Scott got lots of children out to help him with his tricks, but everyone’s favourite was when he got Shannon to help him to magic a rabbit out of an empty box!  Shannon couldn’t believe it!

What an outstanding day we all had!
