What a great time we all had for this year’s first whole school Team Day!
The day began with each class running their own team games. New pupils learned about being part of a team and started building relationships with their team mates. Monkey class worked outside with team coloured objects and Panda class sorted team colours on their playground.
Later in the morning after break, the lower school pupils met their teams in various locations around the school to work with pupils from other classes. They went on treasure hunts, made hats and created junk models.
The Upper school came together in the hall to win points by making a team collage. The Red team created a fabulous mixture of textures and shades, the Yellow team went for a classic sunflower, the Purple team came up with beautiful butterflies and the Green team made a huge green star. All the pupils and staff had lots of fun getting creative.
A highlight of the day was announcing the team captains in whole school assembly. Lots of the year 5 and 6 pupils waited with anticipation. Everyone was delighted to congratulate Preston & Shannon for the Yellow team, Amy & Arda for the Red team, Hannah & Lennon for the Green team and Maggie & Jake for the Purple team. The team captains will represent their teams every week in assembly, collecting all the points that pupils are awarded for their achievements. The challenge has begun, which team will collect the most points this year?
