The Cliffdale Primary Academy Upper School Choir has been busy once again…

This time, they’ve been practising how to sing and sign lots of new Christmas songs, how to read narration clearly and trying very hard to remember how and when to play musical instruments …all in preparation for the Portsmouth Music Hub’s Special Christmas Celebration.

After trying on costumes and ensuring everyone had sparkly stars and streamers to wave, they were ready to head to the cathedral in Old Portsmouth to join friends from other Portsmouth primary schools on Wednesday 6th December.

‘A Miracle In Town’ was the name of this year’s celebration and Cliffdale pupils performed excellently.  They were all very busy with lots of different jobs to do throughout the performance.  Highlights included Amy and Maggie standing very tall when parading with the school banner; Keeleigh and Areen welcoming everyone in the cathedral with great confidence; Alfie and Meliah proudly taking centre stage as Mary and Joseph; Ben joining the stable animals as a sheep and Issy acting as a beautiful angel; Zac, Elle, Rudi and Calum using loud voices when narrating; Mazin, Chloe, Kimmie, Elle and Cailtin reading music whilst ringing handchimes superbly; and Raian, Nasir, Peter and Sultan playing cabassas, gurios and claves perfectly.

They were simply outstanding at representing Cliffdale Primary Academy!
