Children in Need 2019

Children in Need 2019

What a great day we had today, raising money for ‘Children in Need’ today!

What a great day we had today, raising money for ‘Children in Need’ today!  The school council had decided that everyone should come to school dressed in their Pudsey outfits or spots and stripes!  Everyone made a real effort and looked really great; we even had a couple of Superheroes!

Today was also the end of ‘Friendship Week’.  All week long classes on main site have been working together in a range of activities from friendship bangle making, to sharing art activities, playing party games together and generally remembering why it’s so great to have friends!

In Assembly several classes showed some of their brilliant work from friendship week; Lion and Flamingo class showed everyone their lovely art work, which was a repeating pattern of elephants and flamingos, Panda class showed some photos of them working with their friends and Hippo class showed us their friendship tree.

We had a giant Pudsey Bear in the middle of the hall floor and everyone brought in lots of ‘loose change’ to fill it up with coins; there was lots and lots of coins to collect and count! We also gave out certificates for the best outfit in each class.

At the end of assembly Crocodile Class treated us all to a song they’ve been learning by Bruno Mars called ‘Count on Me’…they were fantastic!

A fantastic day was had by all and an amazing £380 was raised for BBC Children in Need. Well done everyone ~ a really fantastic effort!
