We were really proud of six of our choir members who represented the school at the Southsea Salvation Army's 'Carols at the Kings' Service on Sunday 2nd December.

Mollie, Kimmie, Dante, Yameen, Vivi and Tyler were dropped off by their parents at the Kings Theatre to take part in the very special Carol Service with the Southsea Salvation Army.

The children watched the service until it was their turn to perform.  They went onto the stage with the staff and played their percussion instruments for a brilliant performance accompanying the Salvation Army band.  They followed this up by singing ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’.  The audience clapped and cheered really loudly at the end of their performance!

Whilst Ashley went onto stage and told everyone how fantastic Cliffdale Primary Academy is, the people in the audience passed lots of buckets around and put money in them!  At the end of the evening Ashley and Elizabeth took Mollie and Kimmie back onto the stage to see Father Christmas who had a very special present for all of the children at Cliffdale Primary Academy; he gave us a big cheque for £1800!

A huge ‘thank-you’ to everyone at Southsea Salvation Army for making Cliffdale Primary Academy their nominated charity for the ‘Carols at the Kings’ celebration; we are very grateful indeed.
