Hello everyone and welcome to Leopard Class!
There are eight children in the class, 4, girls and 4 boys. The teacher is Claire and the teaching assistants are Gemma, Katie, Shelley, Alasdair and Amy. We are also in the new part of the school and are very excited to explore our very own outdoor learning space. We also have a sensory integration room next door!
We have had a busy start to the term sharing the book ‘Rumble in the Jungle’, making our own rain sticks and using different collage materials to create our own Leopard. We also created our own animal footprints for our friends to follow in the outdoor space.
Leopard class have taken part in a range of ‘bucket’ activities, including gloppy rain, water and a balloon pop! They have all enjoyed seeing what appears out of the bucket and have awed in amazement!
We were all really busy during our team day, all having a fantastic time and completing team challenges in class. Our favourite activity was our ‘Team Day Splat’ where we all had great fun with shaving foam and paint! We also used instruments to practice our chants, ready to perform in front of our friends.
We are looking forward to our topic launch day, which this term is ‘Made in Portsmouth’. We will learn about the seaside, coast, buildings, things to do, shops and transport within the city! We will go to the shop to buy our own ice cream!
It’s going to be an action packed year and we look forward to sharing it with you.
