I began my teaching career in 2001 in a Primary mainstream school in West Sussex. I moved to Portsmouth in 2010 and joined Mary Rose School to pursue my passion to work with and make a difference to the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs. I am now very excited to become an assistant headteacher at Cliffdale Primary Academy and support the amalgamation of pupils, staff and families of what was previously known as Willows into the trust.
I love to travel and have been very fortunate to have had many inspiring travelling experiences; – ranging from back packing up the East coast of Australia to exploring the Californian coast and the island of Sicily. My 1989 T25 camper van an is a big love of mine which I have been lucky enough to enjoy touring around the South Coast of England and northern France.
I am hugely passionate about the entitlement all young people have to education. Cliffdale Primary Academy strives to make a difference through facilitating effective and inclusive learning opportunities for all pupils to unlock their full potential. Our class teams are challenged to continually question, trial and develop their own teaching and learning strategies to ensure learning is personalised and meets the needs of our pupils and students.
Every day is a new day at Cliffdale Primary and it is such a privilege to work in such a motivating and forward thinking school.
