I am retired having previously worked in social care and the criminal justice system. For a number of years I was an adviser to the Social Work Training Council and latterly was Regional Manager in the West Midlands for the Youth Justice Board.
I have experience in working with young people and families confronted by social problems and personal difficulties along with the agencies seeking to assist them.
Currently I am a school Governor elsewhere in the City and also regularly undertake work as a volunteer with Portsmouth Youth Offending Service.
What excites me about my role within the Academy and the Trust?
Cliffdale is a school where tremendous enthusiasm for learning is demonstrated by both staff and students and I am pleased to be able to make an albeit small, contribution to this work.
