A little about myself
I have an eclectic skillset having worked in the public sector for nearly thirty years. I am part of the community, voluntary sector team at Portsmouth City Council where I lead on a number of projects including managing the city volunteer bureau.
I started my career as a registered nurse in London and I have also worked as midwife, academic researcher, and lecturer as well as working with unpaid carers in adult social care.
Hobbies and interests
I have two teenage sons, a crazy collie called Pepper and we are restoring a 1970's fishing trawler. I volunteer for a number of projects in Portsmouth, such as an inclusive theatre company and a social group for people with mental health conditions and their carers. I love to swim and spend time
by the sea.
How I aim to contribute and make a difference
I am looking forward to supporting the school with fundraising and volunteers for events and being an extra pair of hands for anything which the children, families and staff may need.
