Welcome to Cliffdale Primary Academy Website

We hope you enjoy your journey around our website and that it helps you to learn about our achievements and the exciting developments that are taking place within our school.

We are a primary special school for 182 pupils aged 2-11 years who have complex learning difficulties; over 70% of our pupils have autism and severe learning difficulties. Our nursery provision is for 36 children aged 2-4 years.

Cliffdale Primary Academy is a fantastic place to learn. We are committed to ensuring that our pupils are confident, happy and proud of themselves and their achievements. We have created the most stimulating learning environment with a focus on outdoor learning. We deliver a highly personalised, motivating and aspirational curriculum and have an active partnership with families and the communities, within which our pupils live, work and play.

Cliffdale is a member of the Solent Academies Trust, a partnership of schools including Mary Rose Academy, Redwood Park Academy and Littlegreen Academy. Together we ensure that our pupils experience the very best education possible and achieve great things.

Our vision at Cliffdale Primary Academy

We believe that Cliffdale Primary Academy is a place of learning that is filled with awe and wonder for our pupils. Our pupils enjoy their learning and as a result their minds open up and they benefit from all the opportunities on offer.

Each member of our team has a critical part to play, a chance to grow and develop, move forward and focus on the belief that all things are possible.

Forest School

We are very proud to be a Forest School. We all benefit from the opportunities this brings for both pupils and staff and the practical, active and exciting approach to learning means that we all really love it. The wonderful textures, smells, sounds and sights in the woods appeal to all our senses even when we are knee deep in squishy, squelchy mud.
